Simas presents Gib Pappo EP
Brazilian Simas joins Classmatic's Organic Pieces imprint with his three-track Gib Pappo EP.
Based in Curitiba, Brazil, Simas is a new name that has been making a splash of late, with the young talent gaining support from artists such as Jamie Jones, Michael Bibi, East End Dubs, Detlef, and more. Collaborating with fellow rising Brazilian guerrA on labels such as Hottrax and STAH while dropping solo material via Solid Grooves Raw and DIRTYBIRD, he heads to Classmatic's newly launched Organic Pieces imprint with three bubbling cuts across his "Gib Pappo EP."
The title cut, "Gib Pappo," is a slinky roller guided by warped vocals and twisting synths, bringing a wealth of energy to proceedings. Next, "KTMA" draws for heavy low-ends, sharp metallic drums, and surging leads before "A.I" closes the show with another production built on crunchy textures and trippy female vox samples.
