Strobe Lights Vol. 7 by Dark Room Robot
Dark Room Robot presents Volume 7 of his club-ready Strobe Lights series, in which house, techno, and bass collide explosively.

Forbidden Fruit Recordings founder Dark Room Robot makes music for dark, sweaty clubs. He rattles bass bins as he cooks up high-tempo weapons that have won him plenty of props from tastemakers like TSHA and Sarah Story, who have both supported on BBC Radio 1. On top of this, the man who is also half of S.N.U.S. has had tracks make their way into record bags belonging to DJs like Anja Schneider, Skream, Paul Woolford, and Jamie Jones.
This latest essential volume kicks off with "Rhythmic Touch," a masterful bit of drum programming with elastic bass and busy piano stabs that bring color to the hefty low end. The fantastic "Drop That Beat" is another full fat-tune with muscular beats and raw, frazzled synths that pump up the energy. They bring a rave edge next to old-school vocals as the well-swung drums bounce on. Last but not least is "Work," a corrugated rhythm with woodpecker-style hits, infectious vocal chops, and strobe-lit retro stabs that will get hands in the air.
