Artificial Supremacy EP by Chlär
Bipolar Disorder co-owner Chlär delivers his Artificial Supremacy EP as the latest release in the label's vinyl series this autumn, backed by a remix from fellow co-owners The Chronics.

Having arrived onto the techno scene at the age of just 20 following his notable debut introduction via Bipolar Disorder in 2018, Berlin-based artist Chlär is rising a name to take note of. A DJ, producer, and A&R, the emerging Swiss talent has quickly gained notable support from some of the industry's leading names including Dax J, Randomer, Shlømo, Marcel Fengler, and Keith Carnal, and late June now welcomes an up-front and dynamic return to home turf to deliver his latest EP "Artificial Supremacy", accompanied by a remix from label co-owner The Chronics.
Opening the package in ominous fashion, lead production "Deeply Rooted In Us" is a snaking, warping cut armed with off-kilter synths, hefty kicks, and murky low-end sonics, whilst "Consciousness Computation" lays the focus on rumbling percussion and hypnotic synth melodies throughout. On the flip, title track "Artificial Supremacy" invites frenzied drum licks alongside further menacing lead lines to take the EP firmly into the peak time hours, before closing with The Chronics' interpretation - a spiraling, high-octane journey via a combination of bright and resonant, and darker more sinister atmospheres.
