SE16 EP by RTK Tarantino
RTK Tarantino makes his LOCUS debut with SE16, a three-track homage to his South East London roots.

Emerging from Bermondsey, South East London, RTK Tarantino is making waves as a name to know with his all-action blend of garage and house influences. Having earned support from key tastemakers such as Ben UFO and Dr Banana, his early productions have led to well-deserved hype as one of the city’s up-and-coming DJ/producers.
Following a run of original material and remixes, plus his work as one half of Al:chemi, he now steps up for his most significant release to date as he lands on Enzo Siragusa’s LOCUS imprint with "SE16 ", a three-track package serving as a nod to the sound and influences of his hometown.
The title track is an energy-charged, UKG-drenched opener, merging rich stabs with a heavyweight bassline, dub sirens, ever-evolving samples and skippy drums loaded with swing. Next, "Pineapple Express" ventures down a hypnotic and cosmic trip into late-night hours, combining sharp drum work with trippy textures to create a dynamic groove, before the playfully titled "Peter Ian Staker" serves up another punchy offering loaded with hard-hitting low-end frequencies, yet more animated samples, and warped synths.
