Having launched her platform and label to house a brand new approach to underground electronic music, Frequency Made Music founder Desna is expanding and elevating in tandem, armed with her unique take on techno.

Fresh from her recent announcement as part of EXIT Festival's 2024 lineup alongside the likes of Carl Cox, Helena Hauff, and Maceo Plex, and hot on the heels of another Beatport genre-topping release with her ninth installment on her burgeoning label, early May welcomes a milestone tenth release from the exciting New York-based DJ/producer as she once again showcases her innovative and distinct approach to the genre with her latest EP, "Yahweh."

Introducing the "Yahweh" EP, a fusion of industrial techno and sound healing frequencies. This EP is designed to align your mind, body, and soul. DESNA

Tuned to 432 Hz, a frequency believed to be more harmonious than 440 Hz, the EP's title track "Yahweh" means "I Am," a reference to God. It's driving and impactful, armed with clashing metallic tones, while flickering lead synths, hazy whispers, and sweeping melodies offer pockets of light to balance the dark. "Delta Waves" aims to promote deep rest and melatonin production, with Desna noting for listeners to immerse themselves in this sonic journey and experience the transformative power of sound as trademark dub-tinged stabs and warping low ends take hold. "Heal" is centered around 174 Hz, a frequency known to alleviate physical pain, employing the frequency amongst warped vocals, menacing tones, and murky textures before offering up a DJ tool with her "HUSH Acapella" to close the package.
